Borana Weaves Commissions 48 Additional Looms in Unit 4.
Borana Weaves Limited, a leading Indian producer of synthetic greige fabric, has announced the early commissioning of 48 additional state-of-the-art water jet looms at its Unit 4 facility, ahead of the planned December schedule.
With this expansion, Unit 4 now operates a total of 348 high-speed, eco-friendly water jet looms, fully achieving its designed production capacity of 112.75 million meters annually (9.39 million meters monthly).
The total capital expenditure for Unit 4 amounts to ₹71.35 crore, fully funded through the company’s IPO proceeds.
The enhanced capacity boosts Borana Weaves’ overall annual production to 346 million meters of greige cloth, further reinforcing the company’s integrated manufacturing capabilities. This expansion is expected to improve operating margins, strengthen the company’s ability to serve both domestic and international markets, and reaffirm its commitment to sustainable manufacturing practices.
