Bonfiglioli Unveils ₹100-Crore State-of-the-Art Facility in Pune

Bonfiglioli Transmissions Pvt Ltd, the Indian arm of global power transmission and drive solutions leader Bonfiglioli Riduttori S.p.A., marked a significant milestone on Tuesday with the inauguration of its state-of-the-art assembly facility in Pune. Covering an expansive area of 42,500 square meters, the facility is equipped with high-tech, real-time smart assembly operations, fostering an eco-friendly and employee-centric environment.

Commencing operations on November 29, the new facility stands out with its commitment to sustainability, with nearly 80% of the plant's power sourced from solar energy. Designed to enhance operational efficiency, the facility aims to cater to diverse markets in the western region, spanning over 20 verticals in discrete manufacturing and process sectors. This expansion is anticipated to result in a broader product range, reduced lead times, and quicker delivery timelines owing to increased proximity.

Kennady V. Kaippally, Country Manager of Bonfiglioli India, expressed the company's dedication to supporting industrial development in India by providing smart and efficient systems tailored for Industry 4.0 operations. Emphasizing the strategic significance of the western region as a high-growth market, Kaippally stated, "We are expanding our assembly facility in Pune to meet the needs of the evolving market."

He further highlighted the facility's adherence to the highest standards of quality and safety, aligning with Bonfiglioli's global locations. Describing the facility as a hi-tech, real-time smart assembly unit, Kaippally outlined its potential impact on introducing a diverse range of products across 20 verticals, including food, packaging, cement, steel, pharmaceutical, textile, material handling, sugar, power generation, paper, and water treatment sectors.

"We are confident that this assembly facility will enhance the cost competitiveness of our products in the region and significantly reduce lead time for our customers," Kaippally concluded. The inauguration marks Bonfiglioli's commitment to advancing technological excellence and sustainability in the power transmission sector.
