Bondada Engineering has received a Notification of Award (NOA) from NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. (NTPC REL) for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) package of a utility-scale solar and energy storage project in Uttar Pradesh.
The contract, valued at approximately ₹1,338 crore, inclusive of GST, involves the development of a 250 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project co-located with a 50 MW/200 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh.
According to the company, the project is scheduled to be completed within 18 months.
The award forms part of NTPC Renewable Energy’s broader strategy to expand its utility-scale renewable energy portfolio while integrating advanced energy storage technologies to improve grid stability and reliability.
The hybrid project combines large-scale solar power generation with battery storage capabilities, enabling more efficient power management and supporting the growing integration of renewable energy into the electricity grid.
The contract is expected to strengthen Bondada Engineering’s order book and further enhance its presence in India’s fast-growing renewable energy and energy storage sectors.
