BMW heiress-backed Dutch water tech company makes re-entry into India.

Paques Holding bv, the Dutch water technology company backed by BMW heiress and one of German's richest women Susanne Klatten, is re-entering India on its own, over two decades after problems with its Indian JV partners forced it to exit.

The company, whose key offerings include treatment of industrial wastewater and production of energy through biotechnology, is betting on India's growing appetite for water-related know-how.

'When we exited India in the 1990s, the market was at is nascent stage, and also at that time markets like Europe and Brazil were opening up to clean technologies,' said Sudeep Sangameswaran, MD of the Indian unit. 'But now it is the right time, and it (India) is going to a top-three market for us along with US and Brazil.'
