Blue Star looking to start facility in South.

Air-conditioner maker Blue Star recently said it is looking to commission a new manufacturing facility in South India and will be making an investment of about Rs. 150 crore this year.

B Thiagarajan, Executive Director & President - AC and R products business, said: 'We are looking at various States to identify the location of the new plant.

'We will finalise by August this year.' The company currently has seven manufacturing facilities in North and West India.

Thiagarajan said the overall room air-conditioner market is expected to grow by 15-20 per cent but the company hopes to outperform.
