Blue Star executes Rs. 150-cr AC, plumbing project at Mumbai's T2.

Blue Star has executed the air-conditioning as well as plumbing works of the integrated Terminal 2 of the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai.

T2 is spread across 4.4 million square feet. It is equipped to cater to 40 million passengers a year , and has started operations.

CSIA is one of India's busiest airports. With three domestic terminals at Santa Cruz, CSIA has two international terminals at Sahar in operation.

Mumbai International Airport Ltd. (MIAL) is a joint venture between the GVK led consortium, with 74 per cent stake, and Airports Authority of India with 26 per cent stake. MIAL was awarded the mandate of modernising and upgrading CSIA in 2006.

The works of the new integrated Terminal Building were split into two phases. While Blue Star was awarded the contract to air-condition the South West Pier in early 2010, it later won the contract to execute plumbing works as well; the total project was valued at about Rs.150 crore.

Blue Star has also executed air-conditioning projects at several airports including Ahmedabad, Mangalore, Nagpur, Jaipur, Goa and Pune.
