FMCG company BL Agro has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) to develop a large-scale, export-oriented integrated agro-processing hub in Uttar Pradesh. The investment, valued at ₹1,660 crore, is planned to be deployed over the next five years.
The greenfield project, to be located in Bareilly, will feature a fully automated rice milling unit along with an edible oil extraction and refining plant. BL Agro estimates that the initiative will generate approximately 3,500 direct and indirect jobs in the region.
The MoU was signed by Ashish Khandelwal, Managing Director of BL Agro, and Preet Pal Singh, Joint Secretary of the MoFPI, during the World Food India 2025 event held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
