BHEL Partners with HIMA Middle East FZE, Dubai for Railway Signalling Business
Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL), a state-owned engineering firm, announced on Tuesday that it has entered into a strategic partnership with HIMA Middle East FZE, Dubai, for its railway signalling business. HIMA is a leading global provider of safety-related automation solutions in the railways and process industries, according to a regulatory filing by BHEL.
The filing details that BHEL has signed a strategic partnership agreement with HIMA Middle East FZE, a wholly owned subsidiary of HIMA Paul Hildebrandt GmbH, Germany, to strengthen its position in the railway signalling business. BHEL has a longstanding history of supplying Indian Railways with a wide range of equipment, including locomotives, electrics for EMU/MEMU, propulsion systems, traction motors, traction alternators, and traction transformers.
The partnership with HIMA aims to enhance BHEL's offerings in the railway sector, focusing on advanced safety-related automation for signalling. This collaboration is expected to boost BHEL's capability to provide cutting-edge solutions to Indian Railways, reinforcing its role in supporting the modernization and safety of India's railway infrastructure.
