BEML Bags ₹1,888 Crore Rail Coach Order, Narrows Q1 Loss to ₹64 Crore.

Defence Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) reported a reduced net loss of ₹64 crore in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, an improvement from the ₹70 crore loss in the same period last year. The company’s revenue for the quarter was ₹634 crore

In a major development, BEML announced that it has secured a significant order worth ₹1,888 crore from the Integral Coach Factory. The contract involves the manufacturing, supply, testing, and commissioning of fully functional LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches.

The company's robust order book currently stands at ₹14,429 crore, with ₹3,982 crore of that expected to be executed within the current fiscal year. This new rail coach order further strengthens BEML's position in the railway sector and contributes to its future revenue pipeline. The narrowing of losses combined with the substantial new order signals a positive outlook for the defence PSU.
