Atomberg Technologies Plans Local Production of Motors, Compressors as It Enters Component Manufacturing.

Atomberg Technologies is expanding into core component manufacturing as it seeks to diversify beyond finished consumer appliances and develop indigenous technologies for the appliances and industrial ecosystem, according to founder and CEO Manoj Meena.

The Pune-based company, known for its energy-efficient BLDC ceiling fans, has begun developing motors, controllers and compressors used in appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines. The effort is being carried out through its engineering arm, Atomberg Innovation Private Limited (AIPL).

“What began as a journey to reimagine everyday appliances through innovations such as BLDC motor technology has now evolved into building engineering solutions in India,” Meena said.

He added that the company has built in-house capabilities in areas such as motor design, embedded systems and controller engineering over the years. Its engineering teams are now focusing on system-level integration to develop solutions that are efficient, reliable and scalable.
