Ashok Leyland Targets Western India with Large-Scale Expansion Drive.
Ashok Leyland, the Indian flagship of the Hinduja Group and one of the country’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, has unveiled a major expansion drive in Western India, including Maharashtra, as it looks to strengthen its footprint in the fast-growing region.
The company announced plans to add 30 new touchpoints to its existing network of 150 touchpoints across Western India. The move is aimed at capitalising on the region’s robust economic growth, accelerating infrastructure development, and rising demand for light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
Ashok Leyland said the expansion will enhance its market presence while significantly improving service accessibility and customer convenience. At present, its LCV operations in Western India are supported by 29 dealer partners, 130 service workshops, and more than 350 Ashok Leyland Trained Technicians (ALTTs).
The existing network provides service access approximately every 35 kilometres. Over the next year, the company plans to further densify its presence, targeting a touchpoint every 25 kilometres to strengthen after-sales support and ensure quicker turnaround times for customers across the region.
