Andhra Pradesh Secures ₹51,000 Cr Clean Energy Investments, Aims for 'Hydrogen Valley' Status.

The Andhra Pradesh government recently inked significant Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) totaling ₹51,000 crore in clean energy investments. The agreements, signed at the Green Hydrogen Summit held at SRM University in Amaravati, mark a major step towards bolstering the state's renewable energy capacity and positioning it as a key player in the green hydrogen sector.

Among the key agreements, UK-based firm Yamna committed to establishing a 1 million tonnes per annum (mmtpa) green ammonia project at Krishnapatnam, backed by an investment of ₹16,000 crore.

In another substantial development, JKSH Green Power and Hynfra will jointly invest ₹35,000 crore in a project at Machilipatnam. This ambitious undertaking will focus on producing 150 kilotonnes per annum (ktpa) of green hydrogen and 600 ktpa of green ammonia.

These investments underscore Andhra Pradesh's proactive approach to embracing sustainable energy solutions and attracting foreign investment in the burgeoning clean energy sector.
