Amber Group, a prominent homegrown contract manufacturer specializing in HVAC and consumer electronics, revealed on Thursday its establishment of a 50% joint venture (JV) with Resojet, a subsidiary of Radiant Group, dedicated to the production of fully automatic washing machines.

The collaboration marks a significant strategic move for Amber Group, allowing it to diversify its portfolio within the consumer durables sector, extending beyond its core competency in room air conditioners, as stated in a joint announcement.

A spokesperson from Amber Enterprises highlighted the venture's importance, emphasizing its role in broadening the company's presence in the consumer durables market. By teaming up with Resojet, Amber Group gains access to specialized manufacturing expertise in washing machines, enabling the delivery of a broader range of high-quality products to its customer base.

In response to the partnership, a spokesperson from the Radiant Group expressed enthusiasm, noting the added value the collaboration will bring to customers. Additionally, they highlighted the potential for further strengthening the group's association in various other consumer electronics and durable products.

This venture follows Amber Group's recent strategic moves in expanding its capabilities. In January, the company announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Bengaluru-based Ascent Circuit, a leading manufacturer of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) catering to diverse industries, including aerospace and defense.
