Aequs and Tramontina Partner to Launch Cookware Manufacturing JV in India.

Aequs Private Limited has entered into a joint venture with Brazilian homeware giant Tramontina to manufacture cookware and consumer products for both Indian and global markets. The partnership involves an investment of up to ₹80 crore.

Under the agreement, Aequs will produce cookware at its Hubballi Durable Goods Cluster (HDC) facility. This marks Tramontina’s first manufacturing unit outside the Americas, a key milestone for the Brazilian company.

“The growing global demand for premium cookware presents a tremendous opportunity, and this partnership positions us to serve both domestic and international markets,” said Aravind Melligeri, Chairman and CEO of Aequs.

Tramontina, which entered India last year, has been expanding its presence through an omnichannel retail strategy, leveraging general commerce, modern retail, and e-commerce platforms to grow its market footprint.
