Adani Logistics Park Breaks Ground at Kalamassery, Kochi

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) has officially begun development on its new Adani Logistics Park in Kalamassery, Kochi. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Kerala's Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan, marking a significant step in the state’s “Invest in Kerala” initiative.

The logistics park, a key project for transforming Kerala into an industrial and logistics hub, will span 70 acres. APSEZ is investing over ₹600 crore in the facility, which is strategically located in a rapidly growing industrial area. The project is expected to create more than 1,500 jobs, boosting local employment and providing opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The facility is designed to reduce transportation costs and support "just-in-time" operations for various sectors, including e-commerce, retail, and pharmaceuticals. It will feature sustainable and innovative solutions, such as EV charging stations and smart logistics technology, to ensure efficient and transparent operations.

"The Kalamassery Logistics Park marks a significant milestone in APSEZ's transformation from a ports-focused enterprise into a fully integrated transport and logistics business," said Ashwani Gupta, Whole-Time Director & CEO of APSEZ. "The Park will play a pivotal role in strengthening our logistics presence in southern India."

Kerala's Minister for Law, Industries, and Coir, Shri P. Rajeeve, also spoke at the event, stating that the project is "a catalyst for inclusive growth and regional transformation." He highlighted that the park will offer a "seamless, end-to-end digital experience" for customers, with zero-touch operations from gate entry to invoicing.
