Adani Group joins hands with IHG Hotels for airport hotel development.
Adani Airport Holdings has partnered with IHG Hotels & Resorts to develop five hotels across key airport locations in India, in a move aimed at boosting non-aeronautical revenue streams and expanding commercial infrastructure around airports.
Under the agreement, the hotels will be developed near airports in Jaipur, Mangaluru, Thiruvananthapuram and Navi Mumbai, collectively adding more than 1,500 rooms to the hospitality network. The partnership will also mark the India debut of IHG’s luxury lifestyle brand, Kimpton Hotels, alongside properties under the Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express brands.
The Adani Group, which currently operates eight airports across the country, has been focusing on commercial development of land parcels adjoining airport terminals as part of its broader infrastructure strategy. The group plans to commercially develop 665 such land parcels to create integrated airport ecosystems that include hospitality, retail and other urban infrastructure.
