AAI has drawn up plan for expansion of Assam aiports

Airport Authority of India (AAI) has drawn up an ambitious plan for expanding various airports in the state. The plan includes a parallel runway and taxi track at Guwahati's Lokpariya Gopinath Bordoloi International airport.

AAI is also expressed interest in expansion plan for Rowriah airport in Jorhat and Lakhimpur's Lilabari airport.

The AAI also submitted plans for expansion (Phase I) of Mohanbari Airport in Dibrugarh with night-landing facility, revival of Rupshi airport at Dhubri, where the Indian Air Force has also shown a keen interest.
