Ultra Gas & Energy Launches 6 LNG Refuelling Outlets Along Key Freight Corridors.

Ultra Gas & Energy Limited (UGEL), a venture by Essar, has established itself as the country’s largest private operator of LNG refuelling outlets, with six stations now operational along key freight corridors.

The refuelling outlets are strategically located in Bhilwara (Rajasthan), Anand (Gujarat), Chakan-Pune and Jalna (Maharashtra), Toranagallu (Karnataka), and Vallam (Tamil Nadu), providing vital access to cleaner liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel for industrial and logistics hubs.

UGEL has announced ambitious plans to expand its network to 100 LNG retail outlets nationwide, backed by a planned investment of ₹900 crore. Expansion is underway in several states including Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Karnataka, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand.

This rapid growth aims to build a strong nationwide LNG infrastructure, supporting India’s clean energy transition and sustainable transport goals.
