Tamil Nadu government to implement drinking water projects worth Rs 1,500 crore
The Tamil Nadu government to implement drinking water projects estimated at more than Rs 1,500 crore covering over 44 lakh beneficiaries in the year 2012-13.
The govenrnment would implement eight drinking water projects estimated at Rs 1527.63 crore in 2012-13 covering Cuddalore, Coimbatore, Tiurpur and Tirunelveli districts, which would benefit 44.36 lakh people.
Further, Rs 700 crore would be spent on providing drinking water to areas coming under the expanded Chennai Corporation limits, he added.
