M&M and Adani Forge Agreement for Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure

Mahindra & Mahindra, one of India's prominent automakers, has inked a significant Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) with Adani Total Energies E-Mobility Ltd (ATEL) to spearhead the development of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the nation.

Under the terms of the MOU, both entities aim to establish a robust network of EV charging stations, ensuring widespread accessibility for consumers throughout India. This initiative marks a pivotal moment in advancing the country's electric mobility sector.

Expressing enthusiasm about the collaboration, Veejay Nakra, President of the Automotive Division at M&M Ltd, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership in enriching the EV charging ecosystem. He highlighted the focus on delivering seamless access and digital integration for an enhanced EV user experience. Nakra also underscored M&M's commitment to expanding its partner network to bolster the adoption of electric vehicles.

As part of the collaboration, customers of Mahindra's XUV400 model will benefit from access to over 1100 chargers through the Bluesense+ App, further enhancing convenience and accessibility for EV users.

Suresh P Manglani, Executive Director and CEO of Adani Total Gas Ltd, emphasized the significance of this joint effort in advancing Adani's presence in the EV domain. He expressed confidence that such collaborations would encourage consumers to embrace EV technology as part of India's transition towards sustainable energy. Manglani also highlighted the role of these initiatives in curbing carbon emissions and aligning with the nation's climate action objectives.
