Apollo Tyres Announces ₹5,810-Crore Expansion Plan for AP Plant by FY29.

Apollo Tyres recently announced plans to invest ₹5,810 crore by fiscal year 2029 to expand capacity at its Andhra Pradesh manufacturing facility, citing strong growth expectations in the domestic tyre market.

The investment will be used to scale up production of passenger car radial (PCR) and truck and bus radial (TBR) tyres, and will be funded through a mix of internal accruals and debt, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Apollo Tyres said it expects healthy short- to medium-term demand across both PCR and TBR segments, prompting a phased capacity expansion aligned with projected market growth.

Under the proposed plan, the company will add around 3.7 million tyres per annum in PCR capacity and approximately 1.3 million tyres per annum in TBR capacity. At present, the Andhra Pradesh plant has an annual capacity of about 7.1 million PCR tyres and 1.6 million TBR tyres.
