Lotus Cars Electrifies Indian Roads with the Launch of Eletre Electric SUV, Priced at ₹2.55 Crore and Ready to Roll!

In a significant development for automotive enthusiasts and luxury car aficionados in India, the iconic British brand, Lotus Cars, officially marked its entry into the Indian market on Thursday. The company's strategic move to introduce its exquisite range of vehicles aligns with the growing demand for luxury automobiles and the Indian government's steadfast commitment to infrastructure development in the electric vehicle (EV) sector.

Lotus Cars unveiled a trio of variants of its highly-anticipated Eletre electric sports utility vehicle (SUV) during the grand launch event. These models, named Lotus Eletre, Eletre S, and Eletre R, are priced at ₹2.55 crore, ₹2.75 crore, and ₹2.99 crore, respectively, with these prices being ex-showroom rates applicable across India.

The Eletre and Eletre S models come equipped with a robust 450-kW/603-hp single-speed powertrain, boasting an impressive maximum range of 600 kilometers. On the other hand, the flagship Eletre R is powered by a potent 675-kW/905-hp dual-speed system and offers a maximum range of 490 kilometers. Torque figures for these variants stand at 710 Nm and 985 Nm, respectively, resulting in exceptional 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration times of either 4.5 or 2.95 seconds. Remarkably, the 112-kWh battery employed in both versions can be rapidly charged from 10-80% capacity in just 20 minutes using a rapid charger, according to the company.
