Lenskart to Invest ₹1,500 Crore in New Manufacturing Facility in Telangana.

Lenskart, a leading eyewear manufacturer, is set to establish a ₹1,500-crore production facility in Telangana, marking a significant expansion of its manufacturing capabilities.

The facility, which is expected to be one of the world’s largest eyewear production units, will be located at Tukkuguda’s Non-Special Economic Zone (SEZ) General Park. Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu laid the foundation stone for the project on Thursday.

The new plant is projected to generate 1,600 job opportunities and will serve as a key export hub, supplying eyewear products to markets including Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, and the Gulf region, a senior official from the Industries Ministry stated.

According to the official, commercial production at the facility is expected to begin in two years, with full-scale operations commencing in four years. Lenskart had signed an agreement with the Telangana government in December 2024 to set up the facility.
