"BASF has announced plans to establish a global digital hub in Hyderabad, further expanding its international tech footprint."
Chemical major BASF recently said it plans to open a global Digital Hub in Hyderabad in the first quarter of 2026, expanding its worldwide digital services footprint.
Digital Hubs serve as centres of digital expertise that provide standardised digital services at scale to BASF’s businesses globally. The proposed Hyderabad facility will complement BASF’s existing Digital Hubs in Europe, including Ludwigshafen and Madrid, and in the Asia-Pacific region at Kuala Lumpur.
The company said the new hub will strengthen its global digital setup by consolidating capabilities at a cost-efficient location, while enabling faster and more streamlined service delivery.
“With this next step in value creation in BASF’s back-end organisation, we ensure digital service delivery on competitive terms,” said Dirk Elvermann, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Digital Officer of BASF SE.
