The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has approved a proposal to establish a 250 MW solar power plant in Mylavaram, Kadapa. The decision was made during a cabinet meeting in Amaravati recently, marking a significant step toward boosting the state's renewable energy capacity.

As part of the project, the government has allotted 200 acres of land to Adani Solar Energy.

The cabinet also greenlit several other key initiatives, including the AP Circular Economy and the AP Waste Recycling Policy 4.0 (2025-2030), demonstrating a broader focus on sustainable development.

In addition, the state government plans to fill 2,778 vacant posts in Village and Ward secretariats through deputation and to upgrade a health center in Chittoor into a 100-bed hospital, enhancing both administrative and healthcare services for citizens.
