IHCL Targets Northeast for Major Hotel Expansion.

The Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) is setting its sights on Northeast India for significant growth, aligning with the country’s broader strategy to develop the region. According to Puneet Chhatwal, the company's Managing Director and CEO, the hospitality giant is actively focusing on new properties in the area.

IHCL currently operates 15 hotels with a total of 1,348 rooms across the Northeast. The company's commitment to the region is further evidenced by its robust development pipeline, which includes six new hotels with 634 rooms already in the works.

Chhatwal told PTI that expanding properties in the East and Northeast is a key component of IHCL's strategic growth initiatives.
