The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has forged a significant partnership with Schneider Electric India Foundation, inking a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at bolstering the state's skill development infrastructure. The collaborative effort seeks to equip the youth of Andhra Pradesh with future-ready skills essential for burgeoning sectors including electronics, construction, and green energy.
The ambitious initiative outlines the establishment of 20 state-of-the-art training laboratories across Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), Polytechnic Colleges, and National Academy of Construction (NAC) training centers. Through these advanced facilities, the partnership aims to train over 9,000 young individuals, aligning their skills with stringent industry demands and global standards.
Schneider Electric India Foundation has committed an investment of approximately ₹5 crore towards the provision of cutting-edge training equipment, necessary consumables, comprehensive digital learning materials, and Training of Trainers (ToT) programs. Furthermore, the foundation will extend crucial placement support to candidates who successfully complete the training.
Under the terms of the MoU, the APSSDC will be responsible for providing the necessary infrastructure for the training programs and mobilizing students to participate in these skill-enhancing opportunities, according to an official release. This strategic alliance between the Andhra Pradesh government and Schneider Electric India Foundation marks a significant step towards creating a skilled and employable workforce, ready to contribute to the state's economic growth in emerging industries.
