Bridgestone to develop truck and bus radial tyres

Mumbai: Bridgestone will increase its investment for producing truck and bus radial tyres in India. Production is scheduled to begin in the first-half of 2011 and the capacity will be increased to 400 units daily by the second-half of 2012.

Bridgestone's Indore plant that produces car and light truck tyres will expand its capacity for producing the new range of tyres.

The company is in the process of a Rs 260-crore expansion for increasing its production capacity for auto and light truck tyres to 15,000 tyres daily by mid-2010.
