Sanofi Healthcare India to Invest €400 Million in Expanding Hyderabad's Global Capability Center.
Sanofi Healthcare India Pvt. Ltd. (SHIPL) has announced plans to invest €400 million in expanding the capacity of its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, with €100 million earmarked for investment by 2025.
Over the next two years, the GCC will grow to accommodate up to 2,600 employees, making it the largest of Sanofi’s four global hubs. These strategic hubs provide Sanofi with a competitive advantage in delivering top-tier enterprise solutions.
Established in 2019, the Hyderabad hub has rapidly evolved from a medical hub to offering a range of best-in-class services to Sanofi’s global operations and affiliates.
"Hyderabad is emerging as a preferred shared services destination with a large pool of talent. We’re excited to invest and build this hub here to become a great global community striving for excellence, with digitalization at the heart of our transformation," said Madeleine Roach, Executive Vice President, Business Operations, Sanofi, during a press briefing on Wednesday.
D Sridhar Babu, Telangana's Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, stated, "This substantial additional investment of over €400 million and the creation of over 2,600 jobs in the next two years underscore Telangana’s commitment to fostering a thriving environment for innovation and growth."
Sanofi’s hubs are pivotal "nerve-centers" that centralize and modernize operations, enabling scaling opportunities across the company's value chain. They offer a diverse range of services, including commercial, manufacturing, supply, R&D, and digital.
"Our ambition is to be the first biopharma company powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) at scale. We intend to onboard talent at the Hyderabad hub to embrace the power of AI across our value chain," said Emmanuel Frenehard, Executive Vice President, Chief Digital Officer, Sanofi.
