Bengaluru to Get New ₹580 Cr Hospital as Aster DM Healthcare Posts 22% Q1 Profit Rise.
Healthcare giant Aster DM Healthcare has reported a robust start to fiscal year 2026, with its normalised profit after tax (PAT) climbing 22 percent year-on-year to ₹90 crore for the first quarter. The company also announced a significant ₹580 crore investment to establish its fifth hospital in Bengaluru, further solidifying its presence in the city.
Revenue for the quarter saw a healthy 8 percent increase year-on-year, reaching ₹1,078 crore. Operational efficiency also improved, with operating EBITDA growing 21 percent year-on-year to ₹215 crore, pushing operating margins to 20 percent during the quarter.
The new Bengaluru facility will be a 500-bed hospital located in Yeshwanthpur. This expansion will boost Aster DM Healthcare's total bed capacity in the city to 2,580, underscoring its commitment to meeting the growing healthcare demands of the region.
In a strategic move to consolidate its interests, Aster DM Healthcare also increased its stake in Aster Ramesh Hospitals. The company acquired an additional 13 percent, raising its total shareholding from 57.49 percent to 70.49 percent.
