Technology innovation centre opened.

The National Instruments-Kalasalingam University Technology Innovation Centre was inaugurated at Kalasalingam University in Krishnankovil recently.

The centre, which has been set up at a cost of Rs. four crore, will train students for National Instruments (NI) certification and teachers in innovative teaching methodologies.

Presiding over the inaugural function, K. Sridharan, Chancellor, described the centre as a milestone in upgrading technology in the university.

He pointed out that the centre had thrown open opportunities for employment in about 18, 000 companies that used the technology offered by NI. The Chancellor also signed a memorandum of understanding with Solaikutty Dhanabal, Academic Programme Manager, National Instruments, for training students and teachers.

Mr. Solaikutty said that students had an opportunity to get employed all over the world with the NI certificate. S. Saravanasankar, Vice-Chancellor, welcomed the gathering. V. Vasudevan, Registrar, offered felicitations. Devaraj, Dean, proposed a vote of thanks.
