Climaveneta Climate Technologies (CCT), a Mitsubishi Electric Group company, has unveiled plans to invest ₹400 crore to establish a new manufacturing facility in Narsapura, Kolar district, Bengaluru. This strategic move aims to strengthen CCT’s footprint in the region and enhance production capabilities in India's expanding air-conditioning market.
The Bengaluru plant will manufacture a range of advanced central air-conditioning solutions, including screw chillers, magnetic levitation technology chillers, scroll chillers, conventional centrifugal chillers, high-precision AC units, and heat pumps, catering to both domestic and international clients. The facility is expected to create approximately 500 jobs, contributing to local employment and economic growth.
In a company statement, Anil Dev, Chief Executive Officer of Climaveneta Climate Technologies, emphasized the importance of reliable cooling systems, particularly for data centers, where precision and efficiency are paramount. “CCT’s advanced, sustainable, and efficient air conditioning solutions ensure ideal environments across data centers, commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, and manufacturing units,” he said.
Looking ahead, CCT aims to double its annual order intake within the next five years, building on its current order book, which exceeds ₹500 crore.
This new plant is part of a broader Mitsubishi Electric strategy to expand operations in India. In addition to CCT, the group has two other subsidiaries in Karnataka-Mitsubishi Elevator India Private Limited and Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation (TMEIC). According to Atsushi Takase, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Electric India, Bengaluru's skilled workforce, established technology ecosystem, and government support are critical factors encouraging further investments and expansion plans in the area.
