"MB Patil Secures ₹11,000 Crore Investment for Karnataka During Europe Roadshow".
MB Patil, Karnataka’s Minister of Large and Medium Industries, successfully concluded the Europe Roadshow, securing investments worth over ₹11,000 crore through two major Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Hero Future Energies and Krones.
Hero Future Energies announced an investment of ₹11,000 crore to develop renewable energy, green hydrogen, and e-methanol projects in Karnataka. These initiatives are set to begin in 2025-26 and are expected to be completed within 2-3 years, creating approximately 3,000 jobs in the state.
The Karnataka Government also signed an MoU with Krones, a global leader in bottling and packaging equipment manufacturing, to establish a manufacturing facility at Vemagal Industrial Park Phase 2 in Kolar. The agreement includes provisions for Krones to involve its suppliers in ancillary investments.
As part of the roadshow, MB Patil led over 50 meetings across the UK, Netherlands, Germany, and France. The delegation engaged with more than 100 companies and universities and participated in seven business roundtables attended by over 125 representatives from 75 companies.
Key engagements included discussions on the kwin city initiative, meetings with government officials, and interactions with prominent industry associations such as MEDEF and IHK München. These efforts aimed to foster collaborations and encourage participation in the Invest Karnataka 2025 - Global Investors Meet.
