Maruti to build its third factory in Manesar

New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki planning to build its third factory, at an investment of around Rs 1,700 crore, next to its existing plant at Manesar. The new plant, which awaits a Board approval, is expected to have a capacity of 2.5 lakh units on a single line.

Earlier this year, it had announced plans to expand its current Manesar facility, adding a similar annual capacity of 2.5 lakh units in phases till 2012.
