"Indore to Emerge as Rail Hub with Multibillion Rupee Projects, says Vaishnaw"
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has revealed that Indore, the financial capital of Madhya Pradesh, is on the path to becoming a significant railway hub with the initiation of multi-billion rupee projects. Vaishnaw made this announcement during the inauguration of the main election office of Ramesh Mendola, the incumbent BJP MLA representing Indore-2, and the party's candidate for the upcoming assembly elections from the same constituency.
To transform Indore into a prominent railway center, extensive projects worth several billion rupees are currently in progress. These projects encompass the expansion of new rail lines in six different directions from the city, the doubling of existing railway lines, and gauge conversion.
Notable projects include the Ratlam-Indore-Mhow-Khandwa-Akola rail line, the Indore-Manmad rail line, the Indore-Dahod rail line, and the Indore-Jabalpur rail line.
Vaishnaw emphasized that the efforts go beyond upgrading the primary Indore railway station and Laxmibai Nagar railway station to world-class standards. Work is also underway to establish a multi-modal cargo terminal.
The BJP has assigned Ashwini Vaishnaw as the joint in-charge for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh assembly polls scheduled for November 17. Vaishnaw expressed confidence in reports indicating that the BJP is poised to secure a significant majority and form the government in Madhya Pradesh once again.
