Global Talent Track to set up 500 centres

Pune: Manpower training company Global Talent Track plans to set up 500 centres over the next three years,” Dr Uma Ganesh, CEO, GTT, said, adding that the India model could be replicated in terms of content and pedagogy in other emerging markets such as China and Malaysia during 2009-10.

It plans to expand to Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab as well as China and Malaysia during this fiscal. The company is aiming to provide employment and vocational management skills to 500,000 young professionals and touch a turnover of Rs 500 crore in the next five years.

GTT’s first centre is to come up in Pune in a month’s time followed by one in Jaipur.

The expansion into other States will be in association with universities.

The company also has a tie-up with Maharashtra Knowledge Centres Ltd to launch selected programmes in some of its 4,500 centres.

GTT’s training modules, which have been introduced in a few colleges in Pune and Nashik, will be introduced in the remaining colleges at the beginning of the next academic year, beginning June. “The initial launch with CISCO and Pune University across 100 colleges will cover 30,000 students and prepare them for careers in IT and Business services,” Dr Ganesh said.

Among the future focus areas are hospitality and banking financial services and insurance, she added.
