Eversendai bags 3 contracts in Gulf region
Eversendai has announced contract wins worth almost $54mn, including structural steel contracts in Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
The scope of these projets as follows:-
The company has landed two contracts in Qatar worth around $12.5mn - the first of which is to build a new complex at Dana Island in Doha due to complete in December.
It will design, supply, fabricate and erect steel on site. It has also been awarded another contract to provide a steel substructure for a project that 'will provide vital connection into Doha's fast-growing Lusail City development area.
The Saudi project involves construction of a facility for the new King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, where the firm will build a new facility to house carrier's aircraft engines. It is expected to complete by January 2015.
In the UAE, it has won a contract to build a grand mosque in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi. It will complete design and erection of the steel frame and will complete the work in February 2016.
It is also creating the steel structure for the new Dubai Frame, which is being built by Al Rostamani Pegel, and has a contract for a new entertaintment centre in the city.
