BHEL wins Vizag Steel order

Visakhapatnam: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL) has signed an agreement with the BHEL, New Delhi, for expansion of its power plant with a no. 67.5 MW turbo generator and a 330-TPH boiler, according to a press release. The generator shall be manufactured by the BHEL's Hyderabad unit and the boiler by the Tiruchi unit. The order, valued at Rs 394 crores, is to be executed within 26 months as a part of the expansion project of the Visakhapatnam steel plant from 3 million tonnes to 6.3 million tonnes. The agreement was signed by Mr N.G Sahoo, General Manager (Projects), on behalf of RINL and Mr R.P Gupta, Additional General Manager of BHEL.
