Bharti Retail to increase store strength

Jaipur: Bharti Retail is planning to open 125 easyday and 13 easyday Market stores by end of 2010.

It plans open more units in North India with expansion to other parts of India. It opened its compact-hyper store 'easyday Market' in Jaipur.

Presently, it has 63 stores in cities across Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and New Delhi. Most stores are under the 'easyday', and
Compact Hyper stores.

The company has also outlayed an investment of US$2 billion to $2.5 billion by 2015 for its expansion plans. The group is planning to have approximately 10 million square feet of retail space across all cities in India.
