Wonderla Holidays Granted 6-Month Extension for Chennai Park Commissioning.

Wonderla Holidays Limited has secured a six-month extension from the Tamil Nadu Government for the commissioning of its upcoming Chennai Park. The amusement park operator now has until December 2, 2025, to commence commercial operations, while retaining its previously granted 10-year Local Body Tax (LBT) exemption.

The original Government Order, dated June 2, 2023, stipulated a 24-month construction timeline, setting a deadline of June 2, 2025, for the park to begin commercial operations to qualify for the LBT exemption.

Wonderla Holidays submitted a formal request to the Tamil Nadu Government for this extension. The successful representation means the company can now complete the project and start commercial operations by the new December 2, 2025 deadline, with the full decade-long LBT exemption remaining intact.
