UltraTech Cement Limited Commences Operation of 1.8 MTPA Brownfield Cement Capacity in Kotputli, Rajasthan

UltraTech Cement Limited has officially inaugurated a new 1.8 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) brownfield cement capacity at Kotputli, Rajasthan. This development is part of the company's larger expansion plan, which was initially announced in June 2022 with a total capacity expansion of 22.6 mtpa, as detailed in their letter dated June 2, 2022.

The newly commissioned capacity will significantly bolster UltraTech's ability to cater to the markets in Rajasthan and the National Capital Region (NCR). With this addition, UltraTech's total grey cement manufacturing capacity in Rajasthan, inclusive of its wholly-owned subsidiary, will reach 18.9 mtpa. Moreover, the company's overall grey cement manufacturing capacity in India will rise to 137.39 mtpa.

This strategic move underscores UltraTech Cement Limited's commitment to enhancing its production capabilities to meet the growing demands of the construction industry in key regions across India.
