Transdot to launch sewage treatment plants

Thiruvananthapuram: Transdot, engaged in the manufacture of environmental pollution control systems, is set to launch new generation sewage treatment plants.

The plants use Membrane Bio-Reactor (MBR) technology, which ensures that the quality of the treated water will be good enough to be used for almost all purposes in day-to-day life, other than drinking and bathing, according to Mr M.R. Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director of the company.

Transdot has been manufacturing and supplying systems such as sewage treatment plants, water treatment plants and effluent treatment plants. During the last several years, the company has installed these systems in hotels, resorts, hospitals and apartment complexes in various Southern States.

Mr Narayanan said that the footprint of the new plant would be minimal and the process used less power. The treated water will meet more than the specified standards of the Pollution Control Board.

He said that Transdot was also entering the greenfield of solar energy equipment and had recently acquired Peldrive Power Controls Pvt Ltd, manufacturing solar equipment.
