Team visits Puthiyappa harbour for feasibility study.

As part of assessing the technical and financial viability of the Rs. 38-crore project submitted for the second-phase development of the Puthiyappa harbour, a team of officials from the Central Institute of Coastal Engineering for Fishery (CICEF) visited the project site recently.

People's representatives, including M.K. Raghavan, MP, and A.K. Saseendran, MLA, were present during the visit of the team comprising M.B. Belliappa, Deputy Director of the Technical Wing of CICEF, and G. Ganesh, Deputy Director of the Economic Wing.

The team also held discussions with the officials of the Harbour Engineering wing who designed the final project and submitted it for the consideration of the State and Central governments.
