SunEdison completes KBJNL's 1-MW canal top solar plant.

SunEdison, largest renewable energy development company, has completed 1-megawatt DC canal top solar power plant built for Krishna Bhagya Jala Nigam Limited (KBJNL).

KBJNL is a Karnataka government agency responsible for creating irrigation facilities in Krishna River basin.

Pashupathy Gopalan, President of SunEdison Asia-Pacific said 'We have been successful in installing and commissioning canal top system on the banks of the Krishna River. It is good to see other state governments embrace this innovative use of solar technology, which was pioneered by us for the Narmada Canal Top Project in Gujarat in 2012.'
