Karnataka Approves ₹518-Crore Start-Up Policy to Support 25,000 New Ventures.
The Karnataka Cabinet has approved the Start-Up Policy 2025–2030 with an outlay of ₹518.27 crore, aiming to strengthen the state’s innovation ecosystem and create 25,000 new start-ups, including 10,000 ventures from regions beyond Bengaluru. The policy seeks to position Karnataka as a “Champion State” in the start-up sector, with a focus on emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Quantum Computing, and other DeepTech areas.
The initiative will provide strategic support across funding, incubation, mentorship, research and development, infrastructure, and international collaboration. Its implementation will rely on seven core interventions, including skill development, market access, inclusion, sustainability, and regulatory facilitation, all designed to promote innovation and inclusive growth.
“Karnataka already stands as the unrivalled leader in India’s start-up landscape, playing a pivotal role in positioning the country as a global innovation and entrepreneurial hub,” said Priyank Kharge, State Minister for Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, IT & Biotechnology. “This strategic initiative will further empower impact-driven business models, boost social entrepreneurship, and promote inclusive growth in the State.”
