Infosys BPO opens delivery centre in China

Bangalore: Infosys BPO, the business process outsourcing subsidiary of Infosys Technologies, opened its second delivery centre in Hangzhou, China.

The new centre was inaugurated by Mr Amitabh Chaudhry CEO and Managing Director, Infosys BPO and Mr Allen Lam, Vice-President and Centre Head, Bangkok, China & Philippines.

The new centre has a seating capacity of 1,000 people, the company said. Its first delivery centre in Hangzhou has been operational since 2006. “The secon d centre will extend our global brand into China with focused marketing and branding strategies and continue our vision to contribute significantly to Infosys BPO’s revenue and profit,” said Mr Lam.

Infosys BPO’s expansion plan in China is a step-up investment to leverage two years of success in transforming the China centre into an alternative global hub for its customers.
