"Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd Greenlights Brownfield Expansion for New Speciality Carbon Black Line"

Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd's board of directors has given the green light for a brownfield expansion to establish a new speciality carbon black line with a capacity of 70,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA). This expansion will increase the company's total speciality carbon black capacity to 130,000 MTPA, with a total carbon black capacity of 250,000 MTPA. The estimated capital expenditure for this project is Rs 220 crores, and the new line is expected to be operational within 18 months.

Currently, the company's speciality carbon black capacity is 60,000 MTPA, part of its overall carbon black capacity of 180,000 MTPA. The new line will boost the total carbon black capacity by an additional 70,000 MTPA, thereby solidifying Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd's position as a major player in the industry.

The funding for this expansion will come from internal accruals and borrowings from banks, ensuring that the project is adequately supported financially. The expansion is expected to enhance the company's production capabilities, allowing it to meet growing market demands for speciality carbon black products.

By expanding its capacity, Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd aims to cater to a broader range of industries requiring speciality carbon black, strengthening its market presence and providing a solid foundation for future growth. The new facility will likely contribute to the company's competitiveness and open up opportunities for increased revenue streams.
