Greenply Plans ₹800-Crore Capex Over Three Years to Reclaim Top Spot in Plywood Industry.

Greenply Industries expects to invest about ₹800 crore over the next two to three years as it builds a greenfield plywood plant and prepares to set up a new MDF facility.

The company aims to reclaim its leadership position in India’s plywood market within three years, supported by the commissioning of its Odisha greenfield plant in the fourth quarter of the next fiscal. The new facility is expected to boost the company’s plywood manufacturing capacity by roughly 25 per cent.

“In the next two-three years, we have a ₹800-crore capex, even if we don’t venture into new product categories. If we venture into new product categories, then we would have to increase the capital spending. But there is no plan as of now,” Manoj Tulsian, Joint Managing Director & CEO of Greenply Industries, told businessline.
