Gensol Engineering Secures ₹968 Crore Solar Project in Gujarat's Khavda Park.
Gensol Engineering Limited has won a ₹968 crore Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract to develop a 245 MW solar photovoltaic project at the Khavda RE Power Park in Gujarat’s Rann of Kutch. The contract, awarded by an undisclosed public sector undertaking, includes three years of operations and maintenance services.
This is Gensol’s second major contract at the Khavda Solar Park this month, following an earlier ₹1,063 crore order for a 275 MW solar project. With these two projects, the company will be responsible for a total of 520 MW solar capacity at what is set to become the world’s largest hybrid renewable energy park.
Gensol Engineering Managing Director Anmol Singh Jaggi said the consecutive orders reaffirm the company’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions. Shilpa Urhekar, CEO of Solar EPC (India), highlighted the industry’s confidence in Gensol’s engineering expertise.
Founded in 2012, Gensol Engineering has executed over 770 MW of solar projects across India. The company has expanded into electric vehicle manufacturing with a 30,000-vehicle annual capacity facility in Pune and also provides EV leasing solutions, battery energy storage systems, and green hydrogen production infrastructure.
