Dhoot to invest Rs 10,000-mn
Kolkata: Kolkata-based real estate development company, Dhoot Group has planned to invest Rs 1,000 crore in real estate projects in West Bengal over the next two years.
Speaking on the sidelines of a press conference in Kolkata on Thursday, Pawan Dhoot, managing director, Dhoot Developers Pvt Ltd, said, the company would build seven hospitals, each of 200 beds capacity, in the east. Out of this, three will come up be in Kolkata. The hospitals would run under the banner of international hospital chain “Columbia Asia”, Dhoot said.
The investment in each of the hospital would be Rs 40 crore.
The Dhoot Group had tied-up with private equity firm by the name of Caparti for investments in the project, said Dhoot.
He claimed DLF would develop 27 other Columbia Asia hospitals in India.
Apart from Kolkata, the hospitals would also come up in Ranchi, Bhubaneswar and Patna, he informed.
Some of the other projects of the company included installation a total of 11MW power generation capacity in Darjeeling and 3MW wind power generation capacity at Medinipore.
Dhoot said, on an average the investment needed for the generation of 1MW of power was close to Rs 35 crore.
The company also intended to develop about four-five business category hotels and several educational institutes across India in the coming year, he said.
Some of the other real estate projects of the company in Kolkata are-- a 100 acre township, namely Spring Valley and a 2.5 lakh square feet shopping mall namely Lake Mall.
